Indigenous Woman

Description

This piece of wood was first displayed at the Art In The Park in raw material form. I was part of the Artist Collective group in Loveland, and now they have since merged with the Thompson Valley Art League.  As part of showing my process using pareidolia with woodgrains, I asked the  community “What do you see?” At first, I saw E.T.  from the movie. A few years later I saw a woman who felt she needed to be seen. I’m pleased to share this piece and hope it speaks to you.
