Candy Is A Horse-Original Painting

I have loved horses all my life as I have with my art. Ironically I do not like riding them. I imagine myself on a horse riding on the beach. Being as free as the wild mustangs in Colorado. Beautiful horses free to roam the earth as long as man allows it. I painted this when I came to live in Colorado to follow my passion to paint. The background painted yet not finished and remained that way for 3 months. One night I woke and painted her freely into the canvas. Mostly by my hands and then made a few brush strokes for her main. Inspiration usually wakes me up at 3 am. The world is still and I get that moment to be creative. I named her Candy because it’s like feeling the joy of a healthy and free childhood.
